Dr. Theresa Colonna is originally from upstate New York and attended the State University of New York College at Oswego with a major in Chemistry. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry in Manhattan, NY. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and received awards for academic and clinical excellence. Dr. Colonna was an active member and president of the student division of the Lion’s Club and has also been involved in the Special Olympics Opening Eyes program, which provides free eye exams to participants of the Special Olympics. Dr. Colonna has completed internships in primary care and ocular disease at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in New Haven, CT and the OMNI Eye Services in New Jersey. She is residency trained in ocular disease from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Boston, MA and published a poster presentation on Ocular Melanoma. Dr. Colonna has been on staff at Westminster Eyecare Associates since 2002 and has experience in primary eye care, treatment and management of ocular disease, and contact lens fitting. She also oversees training and development of clinical staff.
Dr. Rickie Chin was born and raised in Hope, RI. He graduated from Rhode Island College with a degree in Biology and then earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. He received his clinical training at the Providence VA Hospital, Eye Care Associates in Southport, CT, Vision Care at the Brown Center in East Providence, Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, IL, and Wellish Vision Institute in Las Vegas, NV. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, learning magic, snowboarding, and playing video games and board games.
Dr. Alexandra O’Donnell is a native of Smithfield, Rhode Island. She attended Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 2018. Dr. O’Donnell received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2022 from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. After graduating optometry school, Dr. O’Donnell completed an ocular disease and primary care residency at the Veterans Affairs Boston Health Care System, Brockton Division from 2022 to 2023. She has completed training in primary eye care, ocular disease including pre- and post-operative management, pediatrics, specialty contact lenses and vision therapy. Her experiences include internships at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Providence, Boston University Eye Associates, NECO Special Populations and Charles River Community Health Center. She has presented a poster at the American Academy of Optometry on managing thyroid orbitopathy after thyroidectomy. When Dr. O’Donnell is not in the office, you can find her spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, or at OrangeTheory!
Dr. Matthew Marques is a local Optometrist born in Providence, RI and raised in Seekonk, MA. After High School, Dr. Marques went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in pre-medical and health sciences, before receiving his Doctorate in Optometric studies, both from MCPHS University in Boston and Worcester, MA. During his studies, Dr. Marques completed externships at the Providence VA, the Naval Health Clinic of New England in Groton, CT, and the Providence Community Health Center. He specializes in primary care Optometry with a passion for ocular disease. Dr. Marques is an avid football and soccer fan, and in his free time enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
