Dr. Scott Colonna

Dr. Scott A. Colonna, a Brooklyn native, earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry, where he developed a passion for providing quality eye care and supporting the needs of patients. Shortly after graduating, he partnered with his best friend and classmate, Dr. John Ormando, to establish Westminster Eyecare Associates in Providence, Rhode Island. Under their collaborative leadership, Westminster has flourished into a prominent practice in the region, recognized for its commitment to patient-centric care and innovation.

Driven by a vision to empower others in the field, Dr. Colonna and Dr. Ormando strategically expanded their business portfolio through several key acquisitions. They first acquired College Hill Eye & Optical in May 2019, followed by Smithfield Eye & Optical in December 2021. In December 2023, they successfully integrated a multi-location practice now operating as Cranston Eye & Optical and North Providence Eye & Optical, further solidifying their presence in the market. Most recently, in November 2024, they extended their influence beyond Rhode Island with the acquisition of Ardmore Eyecare in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.

​​​​​​​Beyond his contributions to optometry, Dr. Colonna serves as the CEO of Uppercut Consulting, where he is dedicated to helping small business owners achieve financial independence and operational success. His approach focuses on empowering entrepreneurs to realize their potential and thrive in competitive markets. Additionally, he holds key leadership roles at GMC Properties and Mandalay Optical Lab, a wholesale lens distributor serving the eye care industry, demonstrating his commitment to advancing the field of eye care and supporting innovation.
